Shweta is CEO and Co-founder of Fashion Learning Hive, responsible to bring digital learning solution for the fashion industry to improve the skill set and develop lifelong learning culture. Shweta is a dynamic go-getter, with a keen sense of fashion business and an unparalleled passion for training. Backed by years of rich experience dabbling in the various facets of the industry and international training consultancy projects with TaF.tc, UNCTAD, WTO and AFD. Shweta brings with her thorough in-depth knowledge and strong acumen for sector training framework design, skills development and competency based curriculum design.

Doreen Tan

Doreen Tan is the Chief Executive of the Textile and Fashion Industry Training Centre (TaF.tc), the leading training provider for the Asian textile and apparel industry.

Under her leadership, TaF.tc developed the Workforce Skills  Qualification Textile and Fashion Industry Framework that covers over 80 competency standards and assessments for the textile and  fashion industry in Singapore.

She has worked with companies such as Nike Sourcing Singapore Pte Ltd, Li & Fung , Ghim Li Holdings Co Pte Ltd, Ocean Sky International Ltd, Robinson & Co., (Singapore) Pte. Ltd, Club21 (S) Pte Ltd, Gimmil  Industrial Pte Ltd, Kohl’s USA, Charles and Keith and Kwang Lim  Trading (Korea). As an International Consultant with International Trade Centre of United Nations, she has completed industry and enterprise level projects in the Textiles and Clothing Industry in Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand, Sri Lanka, El Salvador, Guatemala, India (Mumbai, Tirupur, Bangalore, Delhi and Jaipur), Mauritius, Romania, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.

Peter Tan

Peter has extensive years of experience in Marketing & Branding consulting roles with major international marketing communication groups like HAVAS & WPP in Asian regions. He has held executive mgmt roles in the group agencies and managed over 120 brands successfully to date. His last corporate position was Regional North Asia Head of Marketing in NOL- APL & APL Logistics.

Peter had about 20 years’ experience working in China, in multiple marketing related functions including strategic marketing and planning, consultation in branding & products and GTM strategy, crisis management and implementations and public relations communication etc.

For the last 9 years, Peter moved into training industry specialized in Leadership and Creative Marketing training for Managers & Senior Executives in corporate world and held adjunct positions as EMBA professor ,senior counsel & lecturer for numerous Universities (Coventry Uni, Webster, Tongji , Fudan, SUFE , INSEAD, PSB academy, Nottingham Uni) in the region.

He graduated as a Mechanical Engineering specializing in Industrial Engineering. He has 21 years of experience in Apparel and Leather Industry & 7 years of consulting experience demonstrating bottom line benefit to the  organizations.

His area of specialization is Industrial Engineering, Process optimization and Lean Manufacturing where he has demonstrated great and consistent success in bringing change and sustainable growth to the organization. He has the unique ability to drive himself to achieve focused results whilst motivating and getting the best out of people. He is specialized in blending people with process. As a certified ZED consultant, he enabled factories to understand their current level and made a road map to become a world class manufacturing.

He has served Top Indian and Multi National companies that include, Intimate Fashions, Matrix Clothing, Esquel Enterprises Limited (China) , Surya Nepal (p) Ltd (A division of ITC).

Rupa Ganguli

International trade specialist by profession, entrepreneur at heart; Rupa founded inclusivetrade.com, an e-commerce community and platform that promotes and retails sustainable products made by artisans and small businesses to ethically minded consumers globally. She is also the Managing Director of Clothing Connect, a fashion and textiles consulting firm.

She founded the award-winning non-profit SPINNA Circle which is recognised for its successful and tangible projects in empowering women globally. She has analysed value chains and helped position hundreds of products globally. 

Perhaps unsurprisingly, in 2017 Rupa was shortlisted and recognised as one of the 6 nominees in the United Kingdom for the prestigious ‘Asian Women of Achievement Awards’ under the Science and Technology category. She was invited as a key speaker at the Geneva based World Economic Forum, the United Nations Conference on Trade & Development, and the World Trade Organisation.

Matt M. Matsuo

Independent consultant and former COO and President of r-pac International Group. Matsuo was also named Man of the Year for 2018 by the International Association of Top Professionals.

Mr. Matsuo has 52 years of international business experience, tremendous expertise in the private labelling and packaging fashion industry. During the 60’s & 70’s, Matt led the globalization of the YKK Zipper Corporation, expanding their business worldwide. And in the late 70’s, Matt developed the “private label” concept for the packaging industry. His model was adopted worldwide, creating a multi-billion-dollar industry. Moving on from YKK, during the early 80’s, Matt began implementing his concept at the American Silk Label Co., the oldest and the largest label company in the world. In late 2000s, Matt’s company merged with a mid-sized US packaging company, resulting in the birth of r-pac International Corp. Within 10 years, r-pac International Corp. ranked second in the world.
With over 30 manufacturing locations worldwide, including 11 US and 7 EU sales offices, r-pac International is thriving.

Elaine Pang

Elaine joined Macys Merchandising Group International LLC, Singapore branch in 1997 and has been with the company for 21 years. Prior to this, she was the Regional Vice President for Liz Claiborne International Ltd for 8 years and the General Manager for J Crew Group Far East for 2 years.

Elaine is responsible for global sourcing, product development, merchandising, manufacturing, quality and supply chain management and operational activities across many countries.

2011: appointed as one of the mentors by the Singapore Government Mentorship Programme for SMEs (Small and Medium Size Enterprise).
2017: appointed as a member of the Singapore Textile and Fashion Industry Training Centre’s Academic and Examination Board.
She has extensive international experience in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand, Jordan, Mauritius and South Africa. She is a CPA by profession and has previously worked for Ernst & Young.

Andre graduated from Drexel University as magna cum laude with a BA in Marketing. In 2019, Andre was appointed to be TaF.tcs’ representative for the Singapore National Youth Council.

Andre’s passion for technology and innovation has allowed him to be responsible for TaF.tcs’ Technology and Digital Marketing needs. He is also a mentor for students who has gone ahead to get jobs in the digital marketing industry. At TaF.tc, Andre had the opportunity to be in charge of both the marketing and technology department where he spearheaded multiple digitization and automation projects.
